Not repeat to reconcile the observations of previous guests excellent video 'and audio quality and fast loading of a disc, saving. I bought this device to play the movie, reducing the workload for the Playstation 3, and so far playback is just as good in my opinion, as the PS3 open and fast.

But I wanted to point out something good / bad points, which are buried or neglected:

Excellent blue ray with a lot of quality, but will not take long to start playing the disc. Very annoying.

Sony is yet to grace the market with a VAIO mini laptop, in fact Sony has been openly reluctant to produce and sell a netbook. Sony executives have said that the cheap notebook concept doesn’t align with Sony’s “premium” corporate image. That said, I’ve seen Sony make some pretty rubbish electrics before, my TV for example, so this could be taken two ways: snobbery or a joke.

Just received my player, and I must say that the build quality is fantastic and you can say its going to last. The load times are large compared to my previous player, a Panasonic BD-35K. The picture quality is excellent, better than my Panasonic for sure. The wafer to buy a player because of it is double in price, as some other players, and although it lacks some features such as Netflix, wifi, etc, I'm glad we bought this. I think if you want a dedicated stand alone Blu-ray, this is one to get.
